The foundation piers for the Duke Riik project were poured last fall, back filled and left over the winter. This process works well as the ground is typically dryer in the fall for the foundation work and there are not half load restriction for the concrete trucks.
The framing was initiated May 7, photo’s show the 3 ply microllam beams positioned on the concrete piers. The structural column’s are erected at this time as they bolt to the column base anchored into the pier.
We will be erecting D Fir column extensions for the 2 front piers to facilitate the sloped grade that will appear lighter than concrete built to the sub-floor.
